Our working mission
We empower Chicago youth to thrive through safe spaces, softball, mentorship, education, and community connection.
We are local community leaders and nonprofit executives with deep ties to the South Shore and a shared passion for youth development. Softball opens the door; confidence, leadership, healthy relationships, and future pathways are what we build together.
Community is not where we work. It is who we are.
The program model
Youth development happens through every practice, huddle, mentor conversation, and next step.
Beginner-friendly softball, dedicated equipment, skill building, movement, joy, and equitable opportunity for girls.
Structured time, positive peers, caring adults, family connection, and a place where young people feel known.
Teamwork, communication, accountability, decision-making, conflict skills, and responding to setbacks.
Mentors, college readiness, career exposure, family resources, and a stronger sense of what is possible.

Girls + leadership
Sport becomes a place to build skill, confidence, voice, and a stronger sense of what is possible.
Safety + belonging
We strengthen the everyday protective factors that help young people feel supported and make positive choices before a crisis.
Movement, purpose, positive routines, and a welcoming place to be.
Caring adults and positive peers who help young people feel seen.
Self-regulation, communication, de-escalation, and accountability.
Mentoring, education, career exposure, confidence, and hope.
The pilot
We are shaping a lean pilot that can adapt by age group and partner while combining softball, mentorship, leadership, and future readiness.

Mentorship + future readiness
Consistent relationships create space for encouragement, accountability, healthy communication, and a clear next step.
Through trained partners, young people can connect to college readiness, FAFSA navigation, campus visits, career exposure, family resources, and practical next-step plans.
